Executive Biography
Designing and Implementing Visionary and Innovative Solutions to Create Positive Business Operations, Driving Global Integration of Leading Edge Enterprise Systems, and Maximizing Revenues With Efficiency as Entrepreneur and Executive Business Partner Focused on Long-Term Viability and Results.
A recognized technology leader known for crafting the necessary strategic vision to achieve business goals, John D. Carpenter offers a unique blend of business acumen, deep technological knowledge, and executive team-building skills resulting in visionary enterprises, strong ROI, and streamlined production.
John’s visionary drive and passion for leading technologies led him to found Trilance Software, an innovative and cutting-edge software company where he developed and published multiple productivity and entertainment products for the pre-internet dialup bulletin board market. His intuitive ability to recognize talent in the industry helped him to build a small but powerful team of go-getters who, to this day, are leaders in their industries, among them Drew Houston, founder of Dropbox.
His talent and drive for success caught the attention of Casalt Software, where he subsequently took on an executive leadership role to turn a struggling small software company into a multi-million dollar, thriving dotcom internet utility company. John re-vamped and redesigned the flagship software title, using his knowledge and insight of market needs, user interface, and customer support to streamline company operations and increase profit margin significantly, while raising the company profile to an internationally recognized leader in the internet utility market.
Soon after, John joined DynaMark Direct, where he began as a lead developer, overseeing a small team of programmers in charge of their core technology, and within a couple of years, he moved on to Vice President of Engineering, aiding in transitioning a struggling marketing services company into a thriving enterprise software company. John was instrumental in designing and building a new company vision, and was a critical player in architecting enterprise software solutions upon which the company would build its future. Besides facilitating a fast-paced business expansion, John provided solutions for data center installations and operations, and tailored customizable business solutions to its clients. John ’s savvy business instincts, combined with his deep technical knowledge, enabled DynaMark Direct to attain multi-national clients, becoming a leader in the field of enterprise business solutions, and eventually attracting the attention of the Mergers and Acquisitions department of British company Centurion.
John aided in the successful sale of DynaMark Direct to Centurion, and quickly climbed to a Director role within the much larger acquiring company. John was instrumental in both the integration of DynaMark Direct into the larger company and facilitated change in leadership style from founder-driven mistakes to team building, vision-driven directives with longevity and sustainability. His out-of-the-box approach to technical solutions and his drive to further business goals led his team to be known as ‘The Cowboys’ by the executives at the British company. John led the technology due diligence process for Centurion’s acquisition of several other technology companies, and led a star engineering team through successful integration of multiple products from several different technology acquisitions of differing platforms and technologies.
John then took on a COO role for an affiliate marketing company, FluidPoint, where he was instrumental in the successful transition into new markets for the emerging mobile entertainment industry for targeting both Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android platforms.
John ’s strong market analysis skills, intuitive knowledge of the customer mind-set, imagination and vision, combined with his technical knowledge in the gaming industry, led him to then co-found RedLobe, where he lead a new team to develop and publish multiple game products for the iOS and Android markets.
John has applied his vast business expertise to his other passion, flying. At AeroMark, as CEO and Founder, John began a sport-pilot aero club of multiple airplanes and primary flight instructors. Sharing his passion for flying is of high priority, and as such, he served multiple years as VP on the board of directors for Experimental Aircraft Association’s local chapter, servicing numerous members and giving back to the local community through volunteering his technical skills, participating in numerous ‘introduction to aviation’ gatherings, Young Eagle programs, and other philanthropic endeavors. As a private pilot, John also participated in the piloting, filming and production of an experimental aircraft video for Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co., the main supplier of pilot supplies and airplane parts in the world.
John’s reputation at achieving results and meeting business objectives, along with his thorough knowledge of specialized enterprise software has led him to consulting with SDL and Westpac, where he planned, architected, and delivered custom technology solutions for Australia’s largest bank. True to form, John achieved the successful integration of enterprise technology for this large-scale corporation, as well as expanding the scope of the integration to several additional Westpac business units, thereby maximizing both the technology penetration into the company and the revenue generated for the client.
When not flying, John can be found tinkering in his wood shop, or checking out the latest computer gaming news. He lives with his wife Sandra and two children near the Gulf Coast, and together they enjoy fishing, beach combing, and visiting quaint bed-and-breakfast retreats.
